SKEET SHOOTING

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Sporting Clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. The sport dates back to England in the early 1900's when trap shooting used live pigeons. With the introduction of clay targets, the sport began to take on the popular form known today. But rather than using standardized distances, target angles and target sizes, sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of pheasants, ducks and even rabbits. Six different sizes of clay targets give the participants the experience of actual hunting conditions, so you can see why the sport is so popular with hunters.

Our experience includes all the safety equipment and trained guides.  Each group is divided into teams of five to seven - following a short gun safety course, we begin to shoot clays on a multi-station course that lets participants see all types of angles and clays.

Sonoma Adventures was one of our best decisions while in Sonoma. We found our tour guide to be extremely knowledgeable, organized and well-respected in the community.  The day's excusing provided a variety of wine tasting, a delicious and fresh lunch and a comfortable amount of exercise while vacationing in wine country.   I would most definitely recommend this to all.
